How to do a personality analysis?

I am currently the recipient of psychiatric services. They suggested that I get another person on my case but it is entirely up to me. I have this habit of doing extensive analysis of people before deciding whether I am comfortable with them. This is a serious decision so I am going all out on my observations. I wish to take detailed notes of this before I am ready, but I am having some trouble coming up with a simple yet detailed workable rubric for doing so and I need to specify what I am looking for. If I could get help with this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
