Give it a chance or not?

There was a guy in jr high and freshman yr, we both really liked each other. We're sophomores now. We made plans to build treehouses and get married when we're older and have a pet dog. Somehow, last year it just died. We never dated, we just made plans. The last time I talked to him was october, he texted me on mmy birthday. Now, I'm really going to build a treehouse for my younger brother and I. Should I invite the guy to come help, since it was one of our plans?
