Okay, so there was a guy in my grade freshman year of high school (we both had crushes on each other.) It died off, and we never dated, but we always made this random plans like to build a treehouse and go kayaking together, which never happened. We're sophomores now. Humming noise coming from indoor central air?

Honey, as a mom, I just wanna give a a big ol hug! We all mess up. I am pretty sure before your stepdad was a cop, he made some dumb decisions too! Don't think of yourself as a loser or a screwup. You just messed up thats all. I always tell my kids its ok to make a mistake, but once you keep making the same mistake over and over, its not a mistake anymore.....its a habit. Habits are very hard to break. First you need to sit your stepdad down and tell him what you have been doing. He will get mad, thats a given, but I don't think it will change the way he feels about you. Tell him you need his help and that you want to change, no matter what it takes. Second, the friends....you need to lose them. Friends that encourage you to do things that are wrong are not friends. There are what I like to call "Misery Mates"! They do things and know that its wrong, but if they have someone with them, if feels better. Misery love company! Thats basically all they are. True friends are not going to encourage you to even think about being around cocaine or do things that is wrong, especially with a cop for a stepdad! The last thing you need to do is forgive yourself....even if your stepdad doesn't, you have to forgive yourself and started working toward changing. You now have to gain his trust back and if you really want to correct your mistakes, you will have to do what is neccessary to make it right. Good luck, sweetie!

Why does my air purifier only blow air out sideways?

Air only comes out of one side of my hepa air purifier, if you put your hand in front of it you can't even feel any air coming out of the middle, only the far extreme of one side. To feel the main breeze of air you actually have to put your hand completely to the side of the purifier, where there isnt even a grate for air to come out of anymore, and it feels like the air is coming out of the solid plastic, which is really weird. Lately my daughter has been really irritating me. She's 7, and she thinks she knows everything and it gets on my wick. Building a treehouse between three trees. Do I have to take into account how fast each grows?

Two of the trees won't be a problem I think (2 twenty-four inch diameter oaks). I believe that their growth is occurring far above the intended height of the treehouse (~8 ft). lets imagine this. The universe is expanding infinatly. The thing we call time is opening up like a triangle. We have every possible outcome in this triangle. We only live one existance, but really all our existences are paralleled. Lets imagine that we only observe points along this pathway. What exist is only what we observe. I keep reading about observation of the surrounding world that some amazing scientist seem to point to and imply we lack. I was just reading about inductance i hope to gain a better understanding of it but it occered to me that if someone gave me all the simple equations i could probably put them together and learn it in a way i understand. But instead im sat looking at loads of equations that have came from other equations thinking i might as well memorise these and hope i start to understand them. So many other people must do the same and rely oh others discovered facts. When it would be so much better to think for ourself and just try to put things together in a way we understand and build up out own picture. Its not like there are not thousands of things science still cant explain. For my exams i just memorise whats in a book. Equations and facts but its pointless really its just a memory test for me. I dont always understand how the equations in physics where formulated. It would take too long to explain so i have faith in what we are taught. But then something like week nuclear interaction pops up and wtf. When is science going to explain that one. . What if when people talk about observing the world around us, they are implying something different. Like we only are able to observe a fraction of what there is so out understanding is vague.. What if we have something like a photon. It has a constant string of forms it can take between wave and particle. But we cant imagine how this is possible because it oscillates between the two, between the observed time frames. We only observe it when its either particle or proton. We dont actually oberve it at all in this way but this is the way we have to imagine we observe it probably because this is actually what we observe. Like when we use a diffraction grating to diffract light. Then we observe the photoelectric effect and puzzle. What exist is only what we observe really so the intermediates dont exist to us. Therefore we cant imagine how its possible. So to have forces we have to be able to observe space as in dimensions. there has to also be a point in between the dimensions we observe so small that it doesnt exist because we never observe it. Remember my hypothesis is that only what we observe exist. Space is part of the triangular pyramid, forces one length, space another and the other is time. The lines that have no parameter are coming from one corner. This is the big bang or the start of everything from nothing. But remember as we get closer to that corner we never reach it. This is agin why we cant comprehend one over infinity. Because we dnt observe it. So what if in between what we observe there is like this sea of time, sea of space and sea of force. Correct me if im wrong but doeswnt this mean the side of the triangle pyramid that is force, exands at the same rate as space side or dimension side. This would imply that the force is needed to create space, hence hold particles apart :/ or together. Or just in position. If we could tap into it between what we actually observe then surely we could harvest the sea of the force ect then when we harvest it it would be observed :/. It sounds like a bonkers idea but its just a mad suggestion. Its not like anyone else can actually make a link between gravity and other forces, time and space and no one can comprehend the infinat sized universe.We never get to observe infinite sized space, because the triangular pyramid is just expanding and hasnt got there yet But it will exist. call me mad but your no better off because you dont know any more than i do what gravity is really and what causes it, or what weak nuclear force is, its just our way of making up what we cant explain. like wave particle duality ect. Just going on someone elses facts to support our own. It reminds me of when i do an iteration and stick in first initial value that is out. It never homes in on real answer. Instead it goes off further and further form the real answer. Maybe we should observe basics and build up new ideas from that. Like when we do a whole calculation again not take the number form the first part that we have already rounded off. See if you can have one of those neat fold up chairs that becomes a bed - one that you could cover with a plastic sheet when not up there. How about a small set of shelves for games / treasures. Get some plastic storage boxes to keep your things in so they don't end up weathered. Be sure to have a good light source - a flashlight and one of those florescent lamps that run on a 9volt battery. An indoor / outdoor carpet would be great for the floor. A metal box for snacks -- a change of clothes, a blanket that you can store in a plastic tote with cover would be really nice.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 custom supports?

So recently I've gotten into playing RCT3 again, but I don't know how to get custom supports and stuff like that. I see it all over youtube, and I've looked up some forums to try and figure it out. I know a lot of people used to use "Steelworks" or something like that, but it doesn't seem to exist anymore. I don't know of any sites to download supports. Actually, I found one. It is called "Moby Steel Jungle" or something like that, but when i try to unzip it to the specified location it gives me an "Access Denied" error. Does anyone know of sites I can get some custom supports or why I cant unzip the other files? (Also, I'm running on Windows 7)

How do I find points on a line at a specified distance interval?

Say I have a line segment with two points (2,1) and (5,10). I need to find all points on the line starting at (2,1) that have a distance of 3 from each other. Is there a formula I can use? well me and my brother have started a small treehouse in a pine tree that had some nicely placed branches. All we have so far is the floor put down and nailed in place. Its very small, only like 4ft by 4ft. we would like to add walls, a roof, and another room to it. Can someone give me tips on doing this? I was thinking to put down some 2 by 4s for the floor in the new room,and 2 by 4s also going up to the ceiling in the corners. just some big planks for the walls and roof. We are also a little short on wood (lol) but I have plenty of nails and a hammer. This was also just a thought, how hard would it be to put in a zipline going from the treehouse to the ground? not a huge one, because the tree is only about 15 feet tall.

I live in an apartment complex in TN. I recently had surgery and ALWAYS make sure I lock my front door when my partner is at work. I wouldn't be able to fend off an intruder if need be. Anyway, this past Saturday after my partner left, I locked the front door and jumped in the shower. Ten minutes later, I heard a VERY loud banging sound right before I got out. I put on a towel and walked into my living room. The very first thing I did was check the front door, which I found to be unlocked. I then proceeded to look out of my windows to see my maintenance man, running like a madman to his truck. He got in, then took off like a bat out of hell. I locked the door again and called the office. I didn't get anyone directly, so I went down there. The associate who was there said she did receive a plumbing work-order for apt 305 and he could have gotten the numbers mixed up, despite working here for the past 20 years. I've worked in property management and said I can totally understand that. I then asked her what type of problem 305 was having. She said 305 didn't have any water pressure, that the maintenance man was POSSIBLY checking my unit to see if this was the cause of the problem OR, that he was "looking for something else." Thinking this was odd, seeing as 305 isn't on my side of the building, I said okay, I just wanted to make sure he just wasn't coming in just because. She then said, he always knocks and announces himself before coming in and never enters without your permission, or if you are not there. Okay, but that is exactly what happened. I didn't answer my door or give him permission to enter and he did anyway, while I was in the shower. 305 is WAY down the hall and is directly across from 306. Wouldn't it have been a little more logical to check the closest units first, instead of one that is 3 units down? If this WAS the case, why did he slam my door, leave it unlocked, speed off in his truck, rather than waiting outside my door for a couple of minutes and then re-knocking, to check my unit? There are over 250 units in my complex, split between 7 buildings and he just decided to check mine just because? That and he was possibly looking for something else? Like what? I'm not buying it. This isn't the first time I've come home to an unlocked door, while everything in my apartment is either on, or things were thrown around, but never taken. They said they can change my locks, but what good is that when maintenance would have a key? My mom said to put a chain latch on the inside to use when I was inside, but that wouldn't keep anyone from coming in while I'm gone. I looked into tenant privacy laws in TN, while no specified times are listed, it did say the landlord or other persons cannot enter without permission, unless it is an emergency situation or at the minimum a 24 hour written notice. Fire, severe water leak, extermination, etc. What do you think? This definitely seems illegal to me. What would be the best way to prevent this from happening? Worst case scenario, I'll have to pay almost $600+ to break my lease early. I've lived here for a little over two months.

Windows vista user account dissapeared help?

So I log onto my computer and it goes to the welcome screen and my account is gone and all it says is other user and I don't have another user and when I type something in the user name or password box a message pops up that says " the specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted." and so I restart and press F8 and I tried clicking on repair your computer and that just brought me back to the welcome screen and then I tried safe mode and it started to load then crash same thing happend when I clicked all of the following safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, please help me a person can only go so long without a computer all of my pictures were on there that I will never get back if I don't figure this out and it's Windows Vista thanks For your help!

How to grill hamburger patties on a charcoal grill?

I admit, I am a grill rookie. I'm trying to grill burgers on the grill. I have a Weber charcoal kettle grill. Last night, I grilled some burgers. They turned out so so. The problem was that some of the patties fell apart. I know that you should only flip once, but here in lies the problem, when the grease and juice from the patties hit the charcoal briquettes, this caused flames to rise and the patties got way to charred on the outside. I like my burgers medium with nice slight grill marks. In essence, how do I keep the patties in tact and keep the flames to a minimum so they cook nicely without burning? Am I using to much charcoal, is the grill grate causing the patties to stick? Any advise, please share.

like they are controlling their emotions and themselves quite a bit, I really like this personality type, the cool calm and collected type. I have never really been that way, I think these people are most respected and liked in my eyes mainly because of these personality traits they have. I think I have many good traits naturally myself, but recently I have been described by 2 people that didn't know me very well as "bubbly" - I couldn't hate that description anymoree! and have never tried or wanted to be that way..and so my question is, if you are described as cool, calm, collected and emotionally detached yourself, then is this something you mould yourself into being, or is it 100% natural? Do you hold a picture of how you want to be in your head and then be it, or is it something that happens naturally? How to litter train 8 week old Female rabbit.?

I have a long rectangle size rabbit cage (top half metal bottom half plastic) on wheels low to the ground. I just got my 8 week old bunny last wednesday. The litter box is a triangle with grate that sits above the litter with a guard that snaps into place (So she does not lay in the mess) and the unit hangs in the corner on the wall of the cage so she can not move it around. I have the food and water on each side as I know the food and water go right through her. She chooses to urinate on the two long sides of the cage. 2-3 times a day I clean her cage and use Natures Miracle to remove the mess and get the odor out. She leaves some pellets in the litter box but the rest she leaves along all other adjacent sides of the cage. What are my options, I thought of just filling her entire cage with the litter bedding (Care Fresh) however she tries to eat it so that is no longer an option. I tried leaving a soaked urinated tissue in the litter box to associate the smell to the litter box hoping she would go. I never scold her because she does not know better and it would do nothing if I did.Please advise as I am persistent and open to suggestions.

Feeding Ducklings:How much starter crumbs do you give?

We just had a little flock of 6 abandoned ducklings. Since they were two days old, we fed them chopped spinach/grated carrots/and mashed boiled yolk til we were able to get a sack of Duckling Starter Crumbs. Since then, we fill the bottom of a small plate (8 1/2 cm diameter exactly). and feed them every day (often emptying and refilling once they get wet or soiled every two hours or so). But something struck us and made us realise what on earth we were doing was pretty reckless and rather stupid. We have no idea how much exactly to give as their daily portions. We know we should switch to pellets after 3-4 weeks, but the bag doesn't explain anything else. So we were hoping if someone here knows and can lend a hand in this dellimma. So far the ducklings seem fine, and they're now bigger and look very much like a normal 1-week old duck now. So far it feels like they're doing okay, still, we hope to know more on what we're doing. no fair, if I tried to trick my son like that he'd still refuse it! I sneak veggies into anything I can, I puree them with smoothies, pasta sauce, actually anything involving mince is great for sneaking veggies, I always sneak in grated carrot, spinach, mushrooms and onion, sometimes I sneak pumpkin if I feel adventurous. anything made into chips go down pretty well, so that gives potato, sweet potato, carrot and pumpkin. rice is good as well, I sneak carrot and spinach into rice too.

What can you say about my current status as a college freshman?

I am a computer engineering student, and I'm studying at a computer college (I would not like to specify the name for privacy) here in the Philippines. I graduated from a science high school here in our province. As many people know, the curriculum in schools like that are more advanced than national high schools'. So I used to experience a slightly "advanced learning", if you know what I mean. Then when our classes have started, the lessons introduced to us were a bit easy than expected. I looked forward for some harder lessons, but what I got are the basic ones. I am kind of disappointed until now and I have nothing else to do but to adapt with the education they give. Besides, I think the essence of college education are those killer essays, brain twisting math problems, etc. but I guess it really depends on your school. My solution is to not just rely on everything that the school will offer, I will challenge myself and push harder for further education. Good thing there's the internet with lots of websites that can help me with their learning resources. And another thing, the reason why I want to challenge myself is to unleash more of my hidden potentials and to be competent.

What's wrong with my dog?

Alright, his name is Max. The idiots that had him before us gave him heartworm. He went through treatment, recovered, and was doing alright. That's when we adopted him. He is older, although they don't know his exact age. Recently, he has gotten better at walking (he could barely walk a half-mile before), and is now walking one mile loops five days of the week (give or take). Unfortunately, he has also gained some weight, and while he weighed about eighty-five pounds when we got him, he now weighs about 115 pounds (I know). We've been working to help him lose weight by no longer sprinkling grated treats onto his food, as that was the only way that he would eat it dry (we used cans and dry food before this, hence the big weight gain). We've also eliminated the unnecessary snacks and food given to him. He's lost a few pounds so far. So anyway, today when Max woke up, he seemed tired. More tired than usual (he's a black lab). There was also a small spot of pee on his bed. Max has never done anything like this before, and has always had a bladder capable of withstanding long hours of not going. While Max usually follows you around to see what you're doing, today he just followed you and sprawled out. He has also been breathing heavily for short periods of time and has just appeared to have lost most of his energy. About three weeks ago, Max went to the vet. He tested negative for heartworm, and very other testable disease except for the one involving tall grass, which we didn't get. So, any help with this situation would be greatly appreciated as we are all worried for Max. Some additional details that may be helpful are: Max is still doing normal things throughout the day, just not as quickly or energetically as usual, and Max is also less interested in food (although it's hard to say because he hasn't liked food much anyway do to the lack of cans/treats on it),

I live in an apartment complex in TN. I recently had surgery and ALWAYS make sure I lock my front door when my partner is at work. I wouldn't be able to fend off an intruder if need be. Anyway, this past Saturday after my partner left, I locked the front door and jumped in the shower. Ten minutes later, I heard a VERY loud banging sound right before I got out. I put on a towel and walked into my living room. The very first thing I did was check the front door, which I found to be unlocked. I then proceeded to look out of my windows to see my maintenance man, running like a madman to his truck. He got in, then took off like a bat out of hell. I locked the door again and called the office. I didn't get anyone directly, so I went down there. The associate who was there said she did receive a plumbing work-order for apt 305 and he could have gotten the numbers mixed up, despite working here for the past 20 years. I've worked in property management and said I can totally understand that. I then asked her what type of problem 305 was having. She said 305 didn't have any water pressure, that the maintenance man was POSSIBLY checking my unit to see if this was the cause of the problem OR, that he was "looking for something else." Thinking this was odd, seeing as 305 isn't on my side of the building, I said okay, I just wanted to make sure he just wasn't coming in just because. She then said, he always knocks and announces himself before coming in and never enters without your permission, or if you are not there. Okay, but that is exactly what happened. I didn't answer my door or give him permission to enter and he did anyway, while I was in the shower. 305 is WAY down the hall and is directly across from 306. Wouldn't it have been a little more logical to check the closest units first, instead of one that is 3 units down? If this WAS the case, why did he slam my door, leave it unlocked, speed off in his truck, rather than waiting outside my door for a couple of minutes and then re-knocking, to check my unit? There are over 250 units in my complex, split between 7 buildings and he just decided to check mine just because? That and he was possibly looking for something else? Like what? I'm not buying it. This isn't the first time I've come home to an unlocked door, while everything in my apartment is either on, or things were thrown around, but never taken. They said they can change my locks, but what good is that when maintenance would have a key? My mom said to put a chain latch on the inside to use when I was inside, but that wouldn't keep anyone from coming in while I'm gone. I looked into tenant privacy laws in TN, while no specified times are listed, it did say the landlord or other persons cannot enter without permission, unless it is an emergency situation or at the minimum a 24 hour written notice. Fire, severe water leak, extermination, etc. What do you think? This definitely seems illegal to me. What would be the best way to prevent this from happening? Worst case scenario, I'll have to pay almost $600+ to break my lease early. I've lived here for a little over two months.

I am 14 years old, and I have one best friend who's really good looking really popular, and is really nice and has a good heart. We become friends 4 and a half years ago, and in first few years it was grate, I remember, and it was like a friendship from the movies. We bout made new friends during the sumer, but, later, my friends started liking her, and we would hang out all together ( my friends, me and her ) At first, I wasn't ok with this, but later, I started adjusting. Choosing a boot drive?

I have a couple of computers at my work that have two drives in them, one main drive and another that is cloned to using casper. Periodically the computer will boot off of the clone drive, leaving you on what can be up to a week old file system. We have tried to specify drives in the bios, but it only gives the option for "Hard Drive", not individual ones. Is there any way to force it to boot from the correct one without bios?

"Super Fat Burning System" Supplement from Dollar General?

I'm 5'5" & about 125lbs. This may be considered a healthy weight, but the weight is mostly in my belly & sides (love handles). I bought a bottle of fat burning pills from dollar general called "super fat burning system". The directions are to take 2 tablets before a meal with a glass of water on an empty stomach. It doesn't specify if you do this before every meal or once a day. Has anyone taken these specific supplements & does it actually work? Hi Please help, i need help!!!?

I had crunching and grating sound whenever i open or close my teeth, but it stopped suddenly, and also my left ear has been clearing frequently on its own, when i when to my dentist about the sound coming from my teeth, she said it could be TMJ disorder and told me to do nothing, but the sounds stopped before going to her, and also she asked me to check and ENT if there are any earwax or ear infection, so since the sound stopped, i am having doubt whether i have TMJ or ear infection, can someone please reply!!!

I am considering switching to a degree in English with Business intent, do you have any advice?

I am at a 4 year college and I failed accounting twice and now I have to switch my major. The only other choice I have is English with Business intent, I do not find any other majors quite interesting. If something similar has happened to you let me know what major you chose and why? We are in the middle of an argument about my 7 yo stepdaughter right now help.?

Stepdaughter background well behaved, loving. Her mom extremely permissive would not ever raise her voice at her and very dedicated to her. Me, I have an 11 yo boy well behaved. I told him, to go talk to both of them today and tell his daughter she will not come with us (FUN,POOL) because she lied about us yesterday and send her a direct stern message. He disagrees because he says he should be there for his daughter no matter what. He wants to talk to her about lying (did so yesterday already and many other times) I am freaking out because i do not want to lose him for any other lie she could come up with that could get us in trouble with the law. What kind of Roller Coasters could I handle?

I have always been scared of roller coasters and I HATEEE the belly flops. I can handle a little belly flop such as the Roar at six flags in vallejo. I have been on Disneyworld's space mountain, big thunder mountain, Everest, and rock n' roller coaster w/ aerosmith. I loved those roller coasters. How do they compare to other real roller coasters and what can I go on if I HATE drops? My wife bought a night at a hotel online prepaid. We booked it then decided to stay another night and reserved the second night. When we arrived, they took our credit card number and our prepaid printout for the one night and we gave a $100.00 deposit for incidentals.When we checked out, we got our deposit back and checked out. My question is, its been 8 days since we checked out and our account hasn't been charged yet. How long do they have to charge us. We live payday to payday like most people and trying to remember that that money needs to be there is worrisome. Also, I know there are taxes involved also, but the hotel never specified verbally or on paper how much.

This girl I know and went to school with, all of a sudden disappeared. Everyone said she was but in the mental institution because she is diabetic, the kind were you check it all the time and need and insulin machine. So they say she was not taking care of it and ended up in the hospital. I know over the last year she had been in the Hospital several times for her diabetes, but that's all I know. Well not 6 months later she says shes out, but never specified were she was.(can't blame her). But do you think this would land you there? If so out of curiosity but kind of stuff are you allowed in your room, because is that considered suicide?
